Our Evaluations

Speech/Fluency Evaluation

This is an evaluation of articulation/phonology skills or stuttering skills only. This includes the time it takes for the SLP to gather a case history, evaluate the child, write a report, and also includes a 10-minute 1:1 session with the caregivers to discuss evaluation results, diagnosis, and recommendations.

Language Evaluation

This is an evaluation of expressive (verbal) and receptive (comprehension) language skills only. It will include social/pragmatics skills if necessary. This includes the time it takes for the SLP to gather a case history, evaluate the child, write a report, and also includes a 10-minute 1:1 session with the caregivers to discuss evaluation results, diagnosis, and recommendations.

AAC Evaluation

To obtain a speech-generating device, there will be a 3-month process that evaluates the client’s ability to use a speech-generating device to communicate with intent. The SLP will use a variety of vocabulary programs, devices, and symbols over a 1-month trial.

This includes the time it takes for the SLP to trial different vocabularies, devices, and symbols to select a device for your child, write a report supporting the equipment selection, and justify its medical necessity.

*Due to the in-depth nature of this type of evaluation, your child must have Medicaid as their primary insurance.*
